MENS SUITS
If you’ve visited Jermyn Street in the past 50 years then you’ve probably been into Harvie & Hudson – our store has stood proudly on the corner for decades. Inside you’ll find staff wielding tape measures amidst the beautifully-arranged shirts, ties, and mens suits. This is our area of expertise. Our tailors still use paper and scissors to create bespoke suits for men, and each season they also design a limited collection of ready-to-wear suits. If you are fortunate, you will be among the few who buy one this year. Our Jermyn Street suits are always designed with contemporary style, but we understand how to draft a garment that will outlast the fashion. Our men’s wool suits have been part of the line for a long time, for the good reason that our clients return for more. We have different styles to meet each gentlemen’s requirements.
Italian 120s Super Wool Suit
We provide the highest quality suits for men in the workplace. Our 120s wool suit means you will have a smooth, light svelte and luxurious suit. The higher the super wool the better the garment.
Mens British Suit 110 Super Wool Suit
The quality of the fabric is directly related to the diameter of the individual thread (measured in microns). The yarn count of a suit is often reported in ‘super numbers’. The super number indicates the wools’ fineness. A thread count of super 100, or higher, qualifies as a fine quality wool.
British Herringbone Suit
A herringbone suit has a zig zag pattern, which resembles the skeleton of a herring fish.
Italian Houndstooth Suit
Our houndstooth suit is made of horizontal and vertical lines, which creates small squares. It’s a type of checked pattern. You will be looking flawless in the office with this suit.
Italian Birdeye Suit
The Birdseye fabric is woven with a pattern of small diamonds, each having a dot in the centre, representing the birds eye.
British Hopsack Suit
Upgrade your wardrobe with our hopsack suits. It features a basket-like pattern with subtle variations of colours between the threads. This suit is airy and wrinkle-resistant, which makes it ideal for work or any formal event.
You’ll always know a Harvie & Hudson suit – crafted with excellent cloth and expert attention, it will be one of the last to depart your wardrobe. What’s the secret to a really remarkable suit? It’s partly the cloth and partly the cut, but a good fit elevates the whole thing. So our very best advice to you is this: Begin by consulting the Size Guide, take advantage of our hemming service, and, in general, make every effort to ensure that your suit will fit. Short sleeves or straining buttons betray a ready-to-wear suit. But a well-made suit that fits will look just like a piece of bespoke tailoring.
